Hello, a friend of me find this in Germany. For me is an Italian Mess Kit cover, ( the less kit inside is german). It the cover from world war II or post war ? Thank you for help !

Paolo it's right, it's the kind of mess kit cover adopted with haversacks autarkic M29 for cavalry, in the version made entirely of cloth in 1939.
