Medical Insignia

Hello,

Was wondering your thoughts about this medical insignia. I seen this one on an Italian Medical Officer tunic shoulder straps. I have seen a couple medical officer tunics before and they didn't have this. Would this be correct, or did someone just throw them on it?

This insignia is not italian. Never used this type of insignia on shoulder boards.
