is a tie, for officer's, called "nido d'ape" (Honeycomb).
There are also colored in black, and manufactured in gray-green wool
Is of the second World War, there are several photographs that
        testify the use.
Colonel Bocchetti, commander of the hospital in Berat,
        wearing this type of tie.
        Ciao, Luca

thank you Luca, but this type has been in use until now in the Esercito Italiano if I'm correct, only the shade changes.

No, the post-war ties are color kaky.
were also made to "nido d'ape" color kaky,
but used only in the fifties.
The only ones to have them gray (not gray-green), are the Guardia di Finanza, and Corpo Forestale dello Stato, but I am not aware that they have used this type of ties a "nido d'ape".
But if you do not like it, give it away to me, I have so many uniforms to complete!
            Ciao, Luca
