reference book opinions

Im starting to become more interested in collecting WW2 Italian and was wondering what books are out there that you guys like ? Its a little tough right now since the best I come up with is something like "Italian hat" and that doesn't help a bit in trying to study stuff so taking into account I'm pretty green I really need to start studying.
