    Italian pilots wings with M

Hi guys this is my first time on this side of the forum.
I picked up this Italian pilots badge from a dealer, I noticed the crown was expertly replaced with the letter M.
Any idea what these were exactly for?

Wonderful wings. I would love to have them in my collection.

                  RSI Para wings...?

Hmm, as far as I know these are not pilot wings, but rather described as RSI para wings...?

Btw, it might just be my paranoia, but is it the fact that the badge has been refinished that makes it look like a cast badge...? The hardware used does not really make me tick either, as it falls out of the "normal" hardware found on Italian pilot badges of the period. But, as said, I am most likely only overly analytical...

                  Cheers,
