RSI M 33 helmet ANR anti paratrooper 5th battallion

Just got this today, Italian social republic 1943 - 1945 used by the " Battaglioni anti paracadutisti " of the ANR.
This one is named so I will try to get some information.
The fifth anti para battalion was from the city of Varese and Novara

Yes, the two I have seen did not have the tricolor decal. Yours is only the third I have seen at all . Nice find my friend.

Not sure if this one pertains to the subject ?

When I was a kid of 16 i got this helmet from a vet with the last name of kuhn, who got a german helmet in toulon, and didn't tell me where he got this one, but it is as he gave it to me so long ago. I posted it last year, and the comments were Italian helmets never had blue or yellow on the green , and had to be repainted. Well I know mr kuhn never messed with it , and so tell me , what does the blue stand for, and you can clearly see It has the base green , visible inside and out where it is chipped, and has a yellow coat on it also, under the blue..on top of the green base coat....if there is any painted insignias I have never bothered to check, and likely never will. Comments if any accepted ...here are the shots.

                    Very interesting!

Anyway: why there are many traces of rust that are covered by blue paint?
I mean the Italianwarfront helmet with the front shield of Anti-Paracadutisti unit..
