Can anyone identify this collar tab. It appears to be Carbiniri related, but the blue and white tab, and the ship's screw like device don't appear on any Carbiniri rank charts.

Not a Carabinieri collar tabs
However, it should be noted that Carabinieri-like collar tabs (alamari) are currently worn by many local police depts and security guard personnel.

this is very probably a san marino police collar tab.see the flag colours white and blue and the 3 plumes that are for the 3 hills in the small repubblic of san marino

If anyone is interested the tab is indeed from San Marino. It is an older Gendarmeria insignia. Thanks again for those taking the time to help.
