Hi Guys!

Dont know if this is the right section????

Just wanted to show my latest badge.Hungarian officers badge,one of my favourites! They are so nicely done. I didn't notice that the center krone is missing its "tipps".....is this common? Something wrong in the manufacturing? Made by the soldier? Or?Why cut them off?It dont make sens. Or different manufacturer...i have seen many different badges flat sprongs,round sprongs and pin setup....Maybe somebody knows more?

All ten of mine have the "tips" on the lower crown. However two of them the tips on the left side have either broken off or were not properly formed. Its hard to say. I would guess that as they came out of the die - not all of them were "perfect"??? Yours looks fine and I would guess a mid to late war production

Wow do you got ten of them? Picture? How does the early one look like? And i have now solved the mystery thanks to you! The left side of the krone is as on the two you mentioned...it has a manufacturing fault. Something went wrong an the tip is missing,but when you check the right side with a magnifying glass you can se that somebody has removed the tip on the right side to make the krone symetrical. Looks like it has been done a long time ago. Maybe from the manufacturing process....
