Romanian Belt Buckle found at stalingrad with initials? Help?

Hello everyone, I got this buckle belt from a friend who lived around Volgograd. She said she was out for a walk when she found this belt buckle. She was thinking that I would be interested in it. After cleaning it up, On the bottom of the Belt Buckle, there are a pair of initials. I was wondering if anyone happen to know what these letters are? I am guessing DB but I could be wrong. Since I am not familiar with the Romanian alphabet.

It is not romanian, it comes from WWI - it si buckle of Hessen
