It's a postwar pin.
"se scatto colpisco" is the motto, 1° Btg Somalo = "if I spring into action, I hit", 1st Somali Batallion.
This Batallion was created in 1950 during the transition between Italian Kingdom and Somali Independence in 1960.

Within the AFIS, the battalion was formed in Danane, as the heir of the previous battalion Benadir, on April, 01, 1950 and later moved to Gallicaio.

The badge was manufactured by the Labor of Milan, v. Bordighera 19.
The distinctive color was crimson.
