All the insignia are Italian, all are WW 2 era....(a couple maybe post 43) but all are original....the best ones (IMO) are the simple Crown & number patch (WW 1 era) and the brass "flames with hexagon & Cross" hat badge (Ital. Chemical Corps- fairly scarce!)...and the officers bullion hat emblems....etc.

The bayonet was probably modified for use as a "ersatz" weapon, which was often done....for Aux. troops & foreign vol.s,....could just be left over from WW 1 days....

Nice stuff....nothing super rare, but all nice!

      Real

I appreciate the comments. I figured it was all real anyhow. Here is how it all came, and pics of the stamps as requested.

If I'm reading/guessing correctly - Africa to Italy stamps? I bet the Vet got the stuff in N. Africa early in the war. His son did not know for sure.

      Thanks again,

Rings too... I think they aren't much.

              Nice stamps.

The ones with "Africa Orientale ..." are from Italian Eastern Africa, today Ethiopia, Somalia an Eritrea.

                At Auction

                Hey guys:

A few days ago I listed the insignia on ebay, and yesterday listed the M1871 bayo if any of y'all are interested... My ID is: redwormrancher

Normally, I would have offered the stuff on the estand, but have no clue of value, hence the auctions started at a penny.

Thanks for the input and education!
