Norway - Quisling Bodyguard or NS youth?

    Hi,

I have a chance to get this arm emblem for my foreign volunteer collection, but want to learn more about it first. It looks good to me, but i've never had one before to compare it with and can't find any others. Any opinions?

It was offered to me as being from the bodyguard of Quisling, but im not so sure it is? reading in Littlejohn's Foreign Legion's im leaning more towards it being from the Nasjonal Samling Youthgroups?

I also guess it is pretty rare??

    best regards,
    Gaston

    Quisling bodygard, "førergarden" in norwegian.
I can not tell if it is original, if original it is a rear colector item!

Thanks for the reply 1945, it appears these are not that popular collecting items?

Anyone can tell a bit more perhaps?

You just don't find Førergarden itens so often. And not many are, and will be put out for display. This one is not machine done, but by hand.

You better compare with some other ones held by other collectors. Some will definatly contact you.

              Foerergarden

              Hi

I'm writing a book about Foerergarden, after a) living in Oslo for a year in 1965, b) publishing a 4-page article on the history and uniforms of that unit in 1978 ("Military Journal: The magazine for the military enthusiast", International Graphics Corporation, Bennington, VT, Volume 2, Number 2), and c) working at the State Archives in Oslo in 2014. But the draft of my book is already 200+ pages and 250+ images.
