Picked this up this morning, can anyone tell me what type of dagger this is? It says MSVN on one side and D ??? on the other, sorry I don't have the dagger in hand at the moment.

Fritziii,...it looks as if you have a 1925 MVSN,(militia) Poniard dagger.These were the first offical pattern authorised for wear by colonial blackshirt officers.These were withdrawn and later issued to Libyan paratroops.A 1935 dagger was issued in its place...there should be a serial number on the reverse of the crossguard...mine has C 790...these can be different on others i have seen.....regards Semovente. -
