1935 TRIPOLI MEDALLION - DIA: 45mm

A recent pick up via New Zealand. I would appreciate an insight from Italian collectors. I assume its a table medal commemorating the Italian Takeover in 1935?

It is quite heavy I assume its made of bronze?

Any help appreciated.

Note, that I have since removed the ugly green staining via an overnight soaking in white vinegar and salt, then a gentle clean with soap and hot water. The medal now looks superb.

Very interesting, I have also learned a thing or two, such as Italy took over Libya from the Ottoman Empire and had dominion from 1911-1943.
