m33 camo helmet. Good or bad?

    This is a friend's helmet.

I must say I have mixed feelings about it but I don't have too many experience with camo helmets.

What is irritating me the most are the scratch/sanding marks on and around the shield.

What's your opinion about this helmet?

Hallo Tankredi, i would pass on this helmet.

The shield is it painting but not show the aged damages, liner looks repaired?

For my curiosity can you tell me the kynd of metal used for the liner rings and can you do a close up of the rusty zone of the tricolor shield?

Like stated above helmet is not mine, it's a friends helmet.

But I can ask him for that detail picture.

      Liner has been repaired, sure.

What do you think about the paint?

This helmet doesn't inspire me either for the hand painted shield or for
        the camo paint.PaoloM

Hello, the helmet does not show real signs of use and the paint does not appear aged despite years of age. The inside of the helmet, then, seems strangely eroded in the area of the summit 'of the shell. The headset and 'intact and perfectly preserved. I am suspicious. Hello.

            Gentlemen,
the pictures provided are really, really bad.

I have the helmet with me now and it looks way better than on the pictures.

Will post some better pictures soon.

I know this types of helmets...
                IMO original!

I had one of this...Found in a barn near Cuneo(ITALY)...Still with the eagle in the front!

                Well done Tobias!

Thanks Tankredi for the better photos. It seems another helmet looking at these well done photos.I too know this typology of helmets and I had
one of them in the recent past:stencilled badge on front and tri-colour shield
transfer on the right side. Good of the time for me.PaoloM

There once was the ENR eagle on the front of this helmet.
One can still see the marks when it was scratched off.
Maybe partisans? Guess we will never know...

Yes maybe partisans since you can see a hammer and sickle drawing near one air vent rivet. From your photos it looks convincing to me.

Hello, I think this is a fake. On 33 of the Second World War there was cylinder flow. Here, however, the barrel and 'this and it' also chrome. We have only to add that this figure but inside the helmet does not have a factory color, as can be seen from lumps of paint at the code, a clear sign that it is a reconditioning performed in barracks or in a logistics center. The interior paint and in fact 'in texture and shades' different from the outside. I'll stop here. In all likelihood 'that 33 was a post of PS 33 and then' was stripped on the outside and "modified" for appropriate purposes. Obviously personal opinion. Hello.
