True, but they can also be found in WWII-colours. I bought one at a NATO-shop for 39,-EUR.

I agree with Gran Sasso that such brighter colors can also be found on WW2 versions of M29 camo.
This suit however (with 2 lower pockets and 1 flapless breast pocket is a postwar design and
issued to Tank troops in the 60's-70's ...These are usually seen with lower pockets on the lower sides of the hips...
as opposed to the front thighs, like the German design.s

This illustration is of a later design (with padded knees, different pockets) but proves that Italian Tankers used
M29 camo coveralls post war through the early 1970's.

No.Only post WWII.This overall dates back to the 70's.The original WWII
Italian camo, you can clearly see on the M.29 camo shelter halves in other
            threads in this forum.PaoloM

With "they" I meant the combinations, not the colour.
You can also find those combinatins in WWII-colours.

Italian tankers used these all the way through the mid 70's (in various designs).
Here a newer type with knee padding and some pocket changes but basically similar with those large hip pockets in M29 camo.
I owned one once for reenactment purposes and modified/moved the pockets, added breast pocket flaps to make it look more German....

In the 70's Italian Army had basically two types of camo clothing: the overall and a camo jacket with trousers.Below one my various personal camo jackets while serving (1976)in the arty paratroops. The shown version had shoulder and elbow reinforcements for jumping purposes. The common Army didn't have any reinforcement .Cheers.PaoloM
