    BY the medal ribbons this soldier served in ABYSSINIA/ETHOPIAN CAMPAIGN .Tunic has a 1943 date stamp.

        Hi Actionoke,

        sorry to say the sahariana is a postwar model used by italian army.
        After the WW2; from 1950 the italian part of Somalia was entrusted
        again to Italy, under the control of a trust administration. AFIS stands
        for "Amministrazione Fiduciaria Italiana in Somalia" and it means
        "Trusted Italian Administration of Somalia".
        The purpose was to make Somalia autonomous and able to govern itself
        and this target was achieved after 10 year, in 1960 and Somalia became
        independent. During the italian administration of Somalia the italian army
        reused the tropical uniforms with the same style WW2 but with some
        different particulars.

              buttons, fixed shoulder boards, the rear of sahariana and center pleat
              and ink stamp are no correct.
