    Shipping Daggers Bayonets to Italy

Hello, I just had 2 daggers and 2 bayonets returned to me form the Italian Customs office. They put a note in the packages stating no types of arms can be shipped to Italy even if they are for Sport, Hunting, Combat or as collectors items. Does anyone know a way around this. And it makes me wonder as I look through fleabay and see all the Italian sellers selling bayonets and daggers will it be as issue shipping them out of Italy. Or do they know something I do not. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
And also is the whole European Union going to follow this trend ?
    Thanks Jack

By anyway around this, I mean is it just the Postal Systems, or is Fedex OK ?

    Hi

Have the same problem in Denmark. And getting edged weapons from outside EU is a very big problem. Shipping inside EU I think is best with a transport firm, that only use trucks and not by air(Airports scan the shipments and reject weapons).

Yes Nicolai, As I understand it, it is soon to be a issue all through the European Union. I think my qeustion is more like what are the ways around it. Is it Fedex or anything like that. I have a friend who works in the customs dept. in New York and he is high up on the ladder and he is saying it is just a matter of time, before all of the European Union will not accept postal shipments of even nail files ??? I am sure that was a joke, but where does it end. I send orders to China and bayonets get by if you call them tools. So in this political correct society, where does it end. Jack
