but a couple of years later, in 1939, by the regiment commander. Colonel Giovanni D'Antoni , and an idea and an idea and an engraving (the subject is a medal) of the artist Michelassi of Florence we have this new postcard....... and the luck of the collectors in the habit of exchange postcards within the regiment....

and the 4th Tank Regiment was completely destroyed January 25, 1941, during the defense of Tobruk, after his tankette, fuel-free, have become fixed focus centers. the Regiment deserves the highest Italian award, the gold medal for military valor, to its flag. During this battle to prevent the War Flag is captured by the enemy, he decides to burn it. A few fragments are kept by some members of the regiment......

two Australian photos of CV35 tanks captured between Bardia and Tobruk in January 1941 (note the Solothurn anti tank rifle)

It is the classic badge of Italian tank drivers, but I think that no crew of the CV33/35 have ever taken because it was permanently authorized exactly 7th July 1943, and shortly before the armistice of 8 September ....
There was much discussion and whether it was used also after the september 1943 , probably existed prototypes or commercial samples (it is said with the Savoy knot) but outside of this soldier of the Leonessa of the RSI I don't know any other, and the first pictures of Italian tanks crew that I know is in the early 50 ....

but It remains (in my opinion, but obviously I am not objective!) one of the most beautiful badge to tank drivers .... or not?
