    Italian Fighting Knife?

    Hello Folks -

I generally collect only WW1 items, but this looked like a good deal for $50. I believe it is an Italian knife. Wondered if anyone could give me any details? Iy appear to be authentic, but one never knows these days!

If real it is my second Italian knife. The first is an Austrian Trench Knife that has been reshaped to an Arditi Style.

This one has no markings and some staining to the blade, which has been very lightly and professionally sharpened. The scabbard has a strange wear pattern to the blue and some faint traces of black paint in the recesses. Doesn't show well in the photos, but there is a striping to the grip wood.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards,
    - Mike

Hi your is an italian M.V.S.N. (volunteer militia for national security) M35 2nd model dagger. For me it's original and in good condition. It was generally worn by legions of troops of M.V.S.N. Gian

"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".
