Italian Army..Div Superga Insignia.

Hello Gents,

I thought i would share this piece, a metal insignia badge for the...
Divisione Superga which my nonno..(grandfather) served in during WWII.

Im not very familier with Insignia in general, but mainly collect headgear but could not resist this beauty when i saw it.

Also when i noticed it in wear attached/sewn to a uniform on a current thread by Paolo Marzetti..I got excited (i hope you dont mind Paolo, regarding photo)

I have seen these Italian insignia's before buy always thought they were alot smaller than they are, nice size insignia when u have them in hand.

Im hoping for a little more info regarding these badges , thank you.

Thank you for the kind words

As to your other question...Yes !, My Nonno/Grandfather served in the 91 Infantry Reg from 1940-1943 then was a POW at Stalag 1a in East Prussia
until January-Febuary of "45" when camp was liberated by the Soviets, im still unclear on the last couple of months before wars end, but i know from my nonna/grandmother he walked for several months back home to Italia .
