I was wondering if somebody could tell me if it's a genuine cap or a post war , repro or simply a fake italian cap ?

IMO it's a cap issued to the officers of the Regia Marina.I don't know if this cap
has been ever made also in a post war period.PaoloM

Yes, it is a navigation cap mod. 1936 for Regia Marina officiers, the same cap was used also after ww2, still 1980 years...
