Wwii bulgarian officers uniforms of the infantry , artillery and medical branches are not uncommon. Enlisted uniforms for the most part are rare . The most common uniforms found are dress 1936 tunics and summer / tropical officers uniforms . The reason is most likely varied , but the existance of very hungry bugs and relative economic conditions both play a part .the communist government after 1947 forbid the owning of royal bulgarian articles by individual citizens this too accounts for the scarcity of many bulgarian wwii items.THE INFANTRY BRANCH HAS RED PIPING WITH RED BASE AND GOLD TRIM , THIS M36 INFANTRY OFFICER FIELD TUNIC HAS SUBDUED INSIGNIA FOR A CAPTIAN. IT IS MADE OF FAIRLY ROUGH HEAVY BROWN WOOL.

Wow some nice goodies here!!! The blue one with the silver stuff - I believe it belongs to an officer from the Leibguards cavalry regiment. The blue uniforms were for every day, the more decorated red ones were for parade purposes. Nice!!
The Sergeant uniform - because of the collar tabs and the boars, I believe that's a Sergeant from the Military of H.M. School /or the Reserve Officers School?/. The V straps signify years service. Again, nice!
