I don;t know if the fellow collectors have an idea, how scarce these are! The blue uniform with the yellow piping is nothing less than GREAT!!!!! And so is the brown wool one!
I can contribute to the subject with only one uniform. It is one of my favorite - belonged to a Captain, tank killer. He was in charge of a unit of anti-tank guns. This pattern and colors are unique for this unit! This makes the Tank Brigade most interesting - it consisted of Tank unit, a couple of StG units, Anti-tank guns units, AAA unit, Reconnaissance unit with armored recce vehicles, motorcycle recce, as well as some more. And each unit within the Brigade had its own uniform! While the whole other Army had one and the same uniform /with different boards, of course/, here are seen so many different! /the Parade uniforms were the same, as far as I know, I am talking about the combat uniofmrs/. The Tank guys had black wraps with skulls on the collar tabs, the StG guys used browm wraps, the Anti-tank men had uniforms like the sown below, the recce crews had similar, but still a bit different... It was a big mess and not yet clear enough to me! The unit was so small, that each of these uniforms may be the last or at leats one of very few surviving of its kind!
Anyway, here are the photos. Collar made of two different colors, piping /in the rest of the Army there was never piping on the collar!/, extraordinary collar tabs with 2 colors instead of just 1, finally the shoulder boards, made in the Cavalry tradition. BTW this is one of the few uniforms that came to me with the officer's name! I was told he won the Bravery cross and the loops are there indeed!
