Spanish Military Merit Medal - What era?

I would like to know in what era this Spanish Military Merit Medal was made?
I have seen quite a few of these with different suspensions & delaers always say they are Civil war era although they obviously can't all be! This leaves me confused as to what era the different types are.

This royal crown indicates that the cross was awarded before 1931. Between 1931 and 1939 the crown is walled (republican) and from 1936 to 1975 whith Franco´s government the crown have the imperial design.
I think this is from the late 10´s or 20´s (African wars) and it could have been worn during the Civil War if it´s legitimated owner fought in that combats.

I guess that the ones that cost the most are from the Civil war period.

Most popular for international collectors are the Civil War Franco´s shamples, because they were used by Legion Condor and Spanish Blue Division in Russia, but they are not the more expensive. Those from the XIX century are very high prices, and the republican models (1931-39) are the price of a Franco´s army cross X4, at least.
Yours maybe not as desiderable as the Civil War-Franco´s period for many people, but it´s rarer, older and slightly most expensive.
