Not a snowballs chance in hell.
I believe that the real SS decal for the model 33 was a little bit smaller than the decals for the German SS helmets.

            Ok guys,
            thank you.
I thought that it can be like the helmet showed in this well know picture.
            With a hand-painted SS shield.
            But... I thought wrong!
            Thank you again.

From the photos I do not believe the helmet to be aan original Italian SS helmet. I recall seeing this helmet before though from a different seller
              that said.

Size of decal doesn't really matter since most were probably hand painted by individual soldiers. We really don't have enough photographic evidence
to know all the different styles of hand painted decals. I peersonaly believe there is a chance an actual decal used ,but not of necessarily German manufacture.

I also believe that price is not an indictor of original rare items especially those without provedence.

Here is a photo of what I believe to be another untypical Italian SS hlmet although the expanded photo is somewhat grainy. It appears to be a metalic SS skull mounted to the front of the helmet. In the original photo he is standing among other Officers none with the skull.
If anyone has the photo expertise to enhance the photo please do.

I agree its possible , but i wouldnt buy one without getting it right from the vet with living provenance to tell the story. We can believe but would you spring to pay that much with no proof. Anyone can get some lead paint and paint a helmet like an original...where i have the problem is the taped off looking lines of the outer shield. Cant see the age of the paint from the photos either, and would want to test the paint at least for lead base paint, as thats all they had at the time. Id pass ....but if it was maybe several hundred, id say go ahead. Less to lose if wrong. I found a person with a transitional last year with a painted on ss with the bolts that looked like othe 90degree ones in one hollywood movie i saw before they got more authentic with the uniforms, and equipment. It was in a vets estate when they cleaned out his house after he passed with no living relatives. I have seen these style in real photos, but didnt want to spring for it, as there was no proof as to where it was found originally. Although there is all kind of out of the box helmet stuff thats original, but I stick with the proveable standard types , unless I have the finder to verify its authenticity from his own capture. A photo from the time holding such an anomaly always proves beyond speculation. This happened rarely to take a shot holding war souveniers, and so photos like that are wortyh much to nazi or japanese war photo collectors. I always try to buy all photos i can find like that. Best to drop it like its hot.

Few pictures of Italian SS wering decalled helmets exist. There were different patterns and there is photographic evidence that they wore both Italian and German helmets also in action.

The shield in the first frame , looks too large compared to the photo before my post in this frame. The originals in the photo are smaller so as to be less a target. Id say NIX to the buy. Those painted on decals are all over the place in the original photo. The one guys wearing a russian front italian badge (in the middle )Great photo . There are a few decendants of actual italian ss men here on the forum.

This one is it a famous pics of SS italiane, from this pic all think what that shields may be decals in reality that shields are all painted on the helmets, in fact in some helmets the runes are differentes.
At today in Italy not exist a original m.33 with a SS decal.
No are know from italians producers, for german producers only possibily can be a Pocher.

The big runes in black paint is it the other type know of this interesting helmets.
