I would like opions on this SS Eagle. It's marked " ROSS ROMA 1943" and at the bottom is a hallmark and "800" .

The eagle you posted is a crude casting. The Italians made wonderful quality medals, badges and insignia.

It is my pleasure to help you, Troy. I could guarantee my 'mistakes box' is bigger than yours, from the learing experiences I garnered with hard earned dollars and not enough knowledge. This is a learning place which would have saved me many miistakes had it been around 40 years ago.
