    Italian Af ??

    does anyone recognize this insignia think it is ITALIAN AIRFORCE WW11. Heavy made pin back no maker. Has that art deco look

    A possibility :- 133 Squadron (The Falcons) RCAF, formed Lethbridge, Alberta 6/42 disbanded 10/45 in Patricia Bay B.C. Flew West Coast defence with Hurricanes, Kitthawks and Mosquitoes.

      NOW THAT WOULD BE INTERESTING but this has the euorpean WW11 MAKE AND FEEL

        These are sometimes identified as RSI (1943-1945)period Torpedo Bombers wings but in reality I believe thay are post war Italian for a Mortar Unit.

          That would be interesting also but why would a grunt unit propetuate an AF unit

                I have also one of these badges, and I found it laying on the ground on a parking-lot when I was a "kid" here in Northern Norway after a NATO winter-exersize in about 1982-3. One of my first foreign badges, and I have always wondered what it was!!!

                        That's perfectly fit the Alpinis' environment: winter or mountains.
