Possibly Italian Overcoat

I need your help Gents!

What we have here is old and looks like Italian Overcoat for my. It is also looks like plain civilian overcoat form Gierek Era ...( Guy was the president of this fantastic country during "best economical mean" period of Reds in Poland) .

I achive it few years ago as gift. It was found with other period items made in Italy and Germany. PLEASE help! Does it Italian or not?

Another interesting : it has huge pockets, a bit strange for civilian coats( even Blanketrapistcoat pattern has smaller). Civilian coats were more sophisticated in cut. Accordingly to the Rex Trey book: ' Mussolini's Soldiers', this kind of cut is rather ( Method of describing of any items in this book is quite misty...I think that oryginal edition is better)typical for canvas overcoat utilized since 1940.
