    Italian GIL/Fascist Insignia

I have a very interesting hand-made piece that has GIL and Fascist insignia all over it. I was wondering if anyone here knew exactly what these pieces are/what they are for? I'll post the best pictures I have below. Any information (books, websites, advice, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

That's great! Thanks for the information. It helps a lot.

Do you have any resources for Italian insignia and medals (especially fascist era)? I've looked, but I haven't found anything extremely informative. If it's a book or website in Italian, it's okay as long as there are lots of pictures.
