        As a side note, the Romanians donated a large quantity of their last Dutch style(M-73-80) to the Afghan government and many Afghan troops still wear them. As late as last summer I saw formations of Afghan troops at the Kabul range area in formations wearing the Romanian, American Kevlar, and Russian cone head models all in the same units. I had the chance to buy one mint unissued at a bazaar once for $25.00, but passed on it as this isn't my collecting area. Wish I had bought it now.

                  Here is the version with the german M31 liner system that was mounted
                  into the shell backwards-that means that the two split pins are in the rear of the helmet whereas the single split pin is on the forehead of the wearer.
                  The helmet´s outside finish is a very german looking rough textured slate grey finish.
                  Chinstrap is also standard german version.
