kozak photto

hi guys
here is photto of one young kozak soldier.he dont have any unit markings on hes uniform.i want to know somthing about hes belt and buckle.is it wehrmacht or russian.on reverse write something on russian cirilic.i recognize only word kozak.
photto is find in city zagreb in croatia.

to me he is russian, the men of the kosaken verband were looking different; if you can post a picture of the back maybe the writing can shed some light

Hi,
At back write - "For kind memory to dear friend Lazar from cossack Vanija" Pilich. 23/01/1945. In my opinion the photo is made near 1920 in Russia. This guy probably in Civil war served at reds, he does not wear schoulder boards.
