    Hello Bruno,

A few years ago I had one of these same, odd shaped, Italian camo pattern shelter section/ponchos. I found a reference to it in one of my camo books.

The book WEHRMACHT CAMOUFLAGE UNIFORMS & Post War Derivatives by Daniel Peterson shows a Czech made shelter section/poncho, with the same shape as yours, in the German WWII Sumpfmuster-43 pattern. He also mentions that they were produced in the Italian camo pattern.

re czec made sumf camo items for czec army...remember of course the colour difference. czec sumpf unfortunately has a different green ink used, although they say the printing rollers were original german, bless 'em. not sure if the book you quote includes this colour tone difference!
