RSI Helmet

Any opinions on this helmet it is painted with a dark green similar to rough finished German colors. I am not sure about the RSI tri color decal though, never had a frontal insignia that I can see.

The flash reflect off the decal making it look shiny.

Hi,

In my opinion the Helmet is a good original WW2.Nice liner and chinstrap.
The painture it seems a good RSI period.

The Decal I don't know as they were faked a lot.

Marpo will help you for sure, regarding the decal.

Anyway I would say that is a good decal in the helmet.

From the photos that you posted it's very difficult to judge..
New pictures made during a sunny day....could help

IMO the tricolor appear to be a repro...

The photos are not the best you could post.However IMO the transfer is
not good. From a life I've an helmet with similar paint, but you can see
(also my photo is not the best because I can't enlarge that in this forum) the differences of the drawing of the shield,
and how this after more than 60 years,has become part of the paint.
There were several types of transfers (Stefano, I know you've them in your files so you can help if you want not necessary using those posted on BKM!)
and this matter needs a lot of photos just to understand of what we're talking about. However I'm posting one of my RSI helmets:

How many different types of tri color decals were used on RSI helmets?

example; the ones used on the Divisional helmets trained in Germany such as Divisione Italia , and hand painted ones. Where there different manufactors and types?
