These troops used besides captured Russian tanks also German supplied Panzer IV's and Sturmgeschutz tanks ! Note Finnish Nordfront cross (campaign medal), actually mostly worn by Germans in Lappland!

Group shot different branches! Its interesting that the officer (right) is wearing an enlisted course wool quality uniform and the NCO (center) the officer quality fine wool tunic (most likely best dress tunic, not combat...) but this would be rare as the Finns had so many shortages... that they had to import and contract a lot of their gear outside of Finland. All their mixed helmets is a prime example of that, and I've even seen a ww2 Finnish hat which was manufactured war time in Italy (Italian makers info!!!)

Yep you got that right...a little bit of everything or as my wife puts it; a lot of everything...Allied, Axis...no focus really... my focus is WW2... but I even go outside of that time span...I have a WW1 doughboy mannequin and I'm currently putting together a Saddam Era Iraqi Republican Guard soldier... Puukka Knife

Here's a neat Finnish Puuka Knife (also spelled Puukka). These are traditional Finnish hunting-utility knives for outdoors activities and civilian in origin but pretty much every Finnish soldier carried on of these for cutting, carving and killing! These were often passed on from father to son. What makes this one so interesting is the text on the blade (trench art), which reads "SVIR".
Svir of course being the Svir River, where the Finnish army dug in during the Battle for Leningrad!
