Question on WWI era Italian? soldier image

Good afternoon. I recently received this nice image with a grouping of other WWI era images. I thought he was in an artillery regiment but on closer inspection of the hat device, the # 16 appears to be set between two crossed rifles. This of course is the traditional symbol for Infantry. Can any one tell me more about what unit this soldier belonged to?

Hallo Para, the soldier in the pic not is it from Artillery but from Infantery in fact he have the right badge for the 16° Regiment of Savona Brigade (15^-16^ regiments).
He wear a m.24 jacket with only 2 pockets on the breast and the right cap with black badge of Infantery.
The collar tabs are white with a black strap in the middle.
This one for the m.23 metallic badges on the shoulders is it a Great Uniform (for the cerimonies).
So the pic can be dated fron the 1924 to 1926- 27, in the 1926 the model of jacket change and became with 4 pockets, and visible silvered buttons.
Savona brigate was a brigade of a permanente italian Army and during the WW2 was on the North Afrika Front.
