Yes Nick, I haven't seen the other thread, but this cap should be postwar.

This cap is postwar. A friend of mine have one in 1968

Post War Italian Republic Airforce fatigue cap , the frontal badge is missing, I hope to send a photo of mine with this cap in the 1975 !
