    More information

    Hello John
would really like to help you but I need
a close up of the collar
a close up of the hat
    the years of this pic
Then, I'll check in my 1800/1945 italian uniforms book at home!
    Cheers

Hallo John, from the badge on the colback you GF was a Cavallegere (light cavalry) unlucky without a good pic of collar or without number on the badge is it very difficoult to say from what regiment.
With a clear collar was 5 regiments:

19° Guide White flames on ligth blue collar
20° Roma White flames on black collar
23° Umberto I° Light blue flames on white collar
24° Vicenza Red flames on white collar
27° Aquila White flames on red collar

IMO but the pic look like a colored flame on a white collar
I don't know the years of constituction of the last regiment, your pics look quite old.
