More Mystery Badges with a Para Theme

Hi guys, here is another group of patches, all with a para theme. Any ideas as to nationality? I know one is Polish and a couple look to be post war Italian. Your thoughts are welcome.

The one on the top left may be from a Polish UN force (Polish Battalion - "Polbatt" - ?) serving in the Golan, between Israel, Lebanon and Syria.

Bottom right appears to be an unofficial Serbo Croat badge from the recent war in Bosnia. I have another badge that my uncle brought back with a skull and laurel leaves surmounting the word Legija (I think means Legion). Apparently these guys were badass paramilitary units that commited many atrocities. This one is black felt again with a red border.

I believe the unit called themselves "Arcan's Tigers" and, yes, they were bad b***ards - lots of raping and murder. Their leadre is still strutting around, staying ahead of the aurthorities who'd like to ship him to the Hague for trial.

Is the badge with the red &white square Croatian too? Wasn't that the device used by the Axis allied Croat government during WWII?

That is the Polish Air Force emblem, so that one is Polish.

Center right, the one with the chicken screwing the bomb, is Italian. It's not actually a chicken - "Sparvieri" means "sparrow hawks" in Italian. It looks like the mortar company of the 2nd Paras.

                  Center left might be Italian.

Upper right is South or Central American. "Comandos de Selva" means "jungle commandos" in Spanish. "Infamar" means "to defame" or "to discredit" in Spanish, so I'm guessing that's an acronym, not a word - probably Infantería de Marina. Maybe Venezuela, Panama (pre-1989) or Colombia.

Thanks guys You have all been a great help. I picked up about 100 patches, wings and insignia from all over the world and I have limited knowledge on the international stuff. I wont post all of this stuff, just what looks intesting. Eventually I plan to sell most of this stuff on estand in the future, failing that ebay.

                    Cheers,

                    Greg

Hi Peter, red&white square is polish sign on airplanes - at least it was in communist era. Croats has an smaller red&white "chess" field.

And yes, Arkan is definitely dead, shot by a rival criminal group. But Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic are still out there hiding from hague tribunal. They believe serbian govenment is protecting them both secretly.
