Camouflage Reversible winter parka. Signed by soldier-luftwaffen sperrfeuer bat. 168

    Hello,
even I have and had many parkas. I never had any signed by soldier like this...It is luftwaffen sperrfeuer baterie 168, maybe can someone tell me more about this ? I can not find more info...I deside to share it because I belive it is not so common to see, before I will let it go ( to small for my mannuequin, all have around 200 cm)

I rather think that your soldier belonged to Artillerie-Regiment 352, as can be seen in your own feldpostnumber list. If i'm correct these reversible parka's got issued later in the war. Not during the time this Feldpostnumber was assigned to Luftwaffen-Sperrfeuer-Batterie 168 (1940-1941).

Artillerie-Regiment 352 was part of the 352. Infanterie-Division. This Division was created in Normandy in late 1943 and was destroyed in Normandy during/after the invasion. The remains of the Division got used to create 352. Volks-Grenadier-Division. This Division fought in the Ardennes offensive and hereafter on the western-front. It was surrounded in the Schwarzwald in April 1945 and destroyed.

I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

First ; wrong subforum ( should be in uniform section ).

Second it is first pattern splittern pattern reversible jacket. Those were made from late 1942 till 1943. So this iself pointing as mentioned completely diffrent unit than you suggesrt. Please read the dates and than remember that this jacket was part of WINTERNANZUG 42 ( introduced in late 1942/early 1943 ) ! So not the time line when this particular FP NR was used by LW unit you are writing about !

Agree that was most probably used by soldier of 352. Infanterie-Division or later by 352. Volks-Grenadier-Division.
