A question of ribbons...

Hello all,
I recently bought a uniform to a man I know was awarded the EKII, OST, long service medal, and a Czech annexation medal

The uniform itself has loops for a ribbon bar that looks to be about 3 to 4 ribbons long. Here’s the thing, the uniform itself has the EKII and OST medal through the 2nd button hole. So my question is, does anyone/has anyone ever seen an example (in ether photographs or in a collection) where a soldier has a ribbon through his button hole AND worn as a ribbon bar? Would that be up to snuff regulation wise? Or should I just get a two place ribbon bar with the long service and Czech medal and try and fit it in place on the loops.

It’s not IAW the regs but it was frequently violated. Most often seen with the EK2.

Both is possible, there was no Regulation about this. There are a lot Examples from Soldiers wearing Ribbons at the Button Hole and at the Ribbon Bar in the same Time. Just personal Taste....

Yes, as i wrote, that was personal Taste. Some did wear the EK2 Ribbon and or East Front Medal Ribbon in the Button Hole and then again at the Ribbon Bar together with other Medals, as in your Case the Czech medal and long Service ect.
