Need help with Eagle

    Need help with Eagle

    I am once again calling upon the Lords of the forum to help me identify this item. I did some research but was unable to figure this one out.

    measures 4" wide , 2 " tall

    no visible marks, well known my poor eyes can see..

    any help would be appreciated, as always, Thank you

        I too thought it was a Pith helmet, however its larger than those and I always thought they had a slide pin mount not the weird loop binding this thing has...

              The gold ones by KWM & CB have a single long strudy vertical clip in the middle but IMO this is a silver specimen and the hardware is more "British cap badge looking" than what you see on typical parade tropenhelm eagles... I have seen a few silver birds like that over the years with the same hardware. The design itself reminds me of the funcky looking eagle you see in the Assmann catalog but no way of knowing for sure

              Assmann was usually keen on marking their stuff any sign of an "A" on the back? (swaz area)
