    M43 Tunic for Review

    Hi to all,

    Someone is offering me this M43 tunic which looks original to me including both shoulder boards but I'm not to sure about the collar tabs. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    The base tunic is original however the insignia is replaced.

        The collar tabs and breast eagle are replaced. The shoulder straps are removeable and look ok.

            Godd original tunic with replaced (original) insignia. Too bad about the busted waist dart seam on the back, but that can be fixed.

              Is that a War Merit Medal for next of kin ribbon? Did not think I would see that on a combat tunic?

                    As previously stated, the eagle and collar tabs are reapplied.
                    Since 1938, collar tabs should not have cardboard backing.
                    The ribbon is not for the War Merit Cross but for the War Merit Medal (mainly factory workers).

                        Good original M43 tunic that was manufactured in 1944, I agree with the others upon the replaced collar tabs and breast eagle. I can't make out the RBN on the pictures. Would be nice to know in what are it was made.
