Hi Guys,

I just wanted to show this awesome single that just arrived- I saw one like it years ago I think posted here on WAF- will need to see if i can locate the thread.

Does anyone have a set to show with cotton embroidery in this form?

This type of cotton hand embroidery as you know is very typical on many numbered or cyphered period shoulder boards. Whilst not typical for GD it is in my opinion perfectly original and period done.

Hi Patrick, will not argue, perhaps it is a private performance of embroidery letters, but it is best to have in the collection standard embroidered letters GD. IMO

Thanks Nick and Yury, I have also had a pm from a very well respected insignia and GD expert confirming this is a genuine private purchase strap.
Would be great to see others like this if anyone has one!

This strap is fabulous and absolutely authentic.
It is correctly described as private purchase by Nick
