Tunic Stamp Assistance

All, this is in a summer weight tunic that I believe is post war - has anyone seen a stamp like this before?

Is it an "A"? If it is, I have been told an "A" like that on a period Luftwaffe item of clothing indicates it was condemned or no longer fit for use. Granted, that could be only for Luftwaffe items and it could be total hogwash as well?

I believe it is an A, Bob, but the tunic is in very wearable condition. I think it may be BGS or something like that.

Post-war era. The Bundeswehr stamped uniform items to be discarded with an A just like that. I used to buy Bundeswehr items in a second hand shop when I was an exchange student and they had that exact stamp.
