welcome..You are correct..it is an earlier first model version more closely associated with the Nazi Fire Police service..Billbert

Hello,

As stated a good M34 "first pattern" OrPo cap eagle. These were replaced in !936 with the larger insignia as this one looked too small and insignificant on the cap. These were repurposed for use by volunteer firemen after 1936 so they are indeed mostly seen on fire caps and reused Prussian SchuPo cap caps used by police auxiliaries.
