Captured German gear in Russian use

From the same sequence, the battle of Budapest, a siege that lasted 50 days...
(Dec 29, 1944 – Feb 13, 1945).
If these photos were taken after the battle (and staged, appears to be the case) they were still taken DURING the war as the hostilities during the European campaign of WW2
still lasted almost another 3 months!
Such propaganda images of the victorious Russian army were created for immediate consumption on the home front and (international) news papers...they didn't wait until May of 1945
to create these...in other words the SS parka pants were worn during the war and documented as such by a Russian propaganda unit!

they are the only credible photos, if the source and dating are provable, among those posted.
Anyway the soldier is wearing only a german trousers, therefore remaining perfectly recognizable as Russian man.
Completely different situation is seen in the very imaginative photos posted of Russian soldiers in a full German uniform.

This is not a propaganda photo... They did wear captured gear in combat..
No doubt in my view...They had huge shortages! Rare and risky but it did happen. Lets leave it at that!

2nd image is taken in Veltrusy (CZ) in 1945 with a Russian posing in a Austrian cut WH or a CZ gendarme tunic...so no doubt post hostilities so a more common occurance !

are you sure the coat in first pic is a German coat?
I have some doubt... it has not the cuffs on the sleeves and seems to have only 5 buttons, probably a civilian item.
Second pic could be a post war shot of secon line or reserve troops... difficult to establish.

True... not easy to establish what he is wearing other than it is for sure not Russian military issue. The great coat lacking French cuffs would be odd unless it is the late war SS version!
Who knows? The guy next to him also wears a double breasted one,
so could have come from the same source (depot, supply train, POW's?) where they got their K98 ammo pouches and belts from!

The color image is clearly a captured (German? ) tunic!...the 2nd one colorized incorrectly I feel...not sure if German but still an example of captured gear...Buttons look German though...

On the last photo it is fighters of guerrilla groups. In guerrillas nosilit everything that could only be found, they had no form.

Pants made from a splinter zelt, a splinter tant German belts, a dagger and
lastly M44 DOT SS parka pants!

Zelt tent looks to be rare reversed splittern camo ( autumn brown shades ). Interesting.

First some boards with the edge piping and other ed areas which are made of Eastern front ribbon material...
Pretty ironic that the ribbon for a medal which represented combat against the Russians is used on a Russian
rank devise post war!
