    Heer Administrative General

    Hi
I have been told that an Administrative General, wore Dark Grren stripes on the trousers or breeches, in the same pattern as an ordinary generals red stripes. Can anyone confirm that? and would he be more likely to wear straight trousers or breeches, presumably, Stone grey.
    Hope someone’s can advise.

They used generals trousers with the dark green stripes.

Thank you, would that be Stone grey trousers? Brian

They should be stone gray, but I am sure that field-gray versions existed as well.

That is actually only true for Luftwaffe admin generals. The WH guys wore red stripes like regular general officers and TSD blue after the introduction of that color in 1944.

Would the pants go with Waffenrock tunic as well?

Yes, Brian, they would. Breeches would be worn for parades, etc.

On the subject of Waffenrock, could it be worn other than on parade? Official visits, etc. Walking out?

Can't get out the book right now and give you a comprehensive answer on what the regulations said, but in a word: Yes.

Waffenrocks were worn for other military ceremonies in addition to parades, for weddings, official unit dinners or other higher level functions, etc. and walking out use until the date that forbade that - if memory serves it was in 1941.

I thought I’d start a new thread on this subject, as I’ve digressed .
