    BeVo 1st pat flatwire eagle

Looking at the so called 1st type flatwire prewar eagle it is so quite different to the usual 1st pat eagle is it a early second pat or maybe just a maker variation

    hello,

Very nice makers variation. The body and head appear to be a 2nd pattern eagle design while it has the distinctive wings of the first pattern eagle. There are a lot of variations in the eagle design in between the 1st and second pattern. This is a nice example!

        hello,

I don't have a panzer 1st pattern but I have 3 others. The second one has traits of a second pattern eagle too. I also added a shot of other uncut flatwires that I have.

          Hi Paul,

Here are two first pattern army flatwires that I have. The first is unissued, but it has lost some of its finish. The second one is tunic removed.

Then two army first pattern eagles for the waffenrock, on wool backing.

The top two pics are of a panzer flatwire from my collection. The bottom two are an example that was posted in the forum for verification, and people loved it.

Beautiful birds guys, these early ones are my favorite cloth types/variations. First time I see the bluish grey backed flatwire or the flatwire Panzer types

              Great stuff, thanks for posting!

This eagle can also be considered the first type?

                      Hello Yury,

It appears to be one. These are usually mounted on field grey wool. Can we see the back of this one? Thanks.

Hello Fred! To my regret the eagle is pasted on a display with product samples of military shop.
