White piped infantry straps, a bit oversized? Maybe for a great coat? I was told they originally came with some Tropical uniform items. Am I on the right track? More info?

How can i say it These are such poor reproductions/fakes, (what is the difference between a repro and a fake ? anyone) that to be original from the war they will have to have been field made...though a bit of faith will be needed.

I don't see a difference between reproduction and fake, and have no interest in either.
